Pastor Jim Browne Director of Christian Education Kim Trimboli

"I don't often think of ministry as my "work," although it clearly is that too. Ministry is my life, and is intertwined with who I am in such a way that is is often difficult to separate.

Being a child and grandchild of missionaries, and being a sixth generation Presbyterian pastor made me at first shy away from ordained service. My college time was spent in theater and speech education. I had three years as an Army officer, and I was sure that I was headed toward a career as a high school teacher . It was not until God put me in a worship leading position while I was in Iran with the US Army that I began to listen to God's continuing call.

I have served four parishes in three states. In them I have found wonderful differences and amazing similarities. To follow Jesus Christ and to become the body of Christ hard at work serving God's world is what energizes me and gives me direction. Effective ministry cannot be done alone, and it is pointless unless shared."

Jim and his wife Ginny have 3 grown children and several grandchildren. Jim came to Hilliard Presbyterian in 1999.

Kim grew up in Gainesville Florida, where she was actively involved in church life at Trinity United Methodist Church. While there, Kim felt called to Christian Education. She attended Presbyterian College in Clinton S.C., where she received her degree in Religion & Christian Education. She worked as a Youth Director in Orlando for two years and as a Director of Christian Education at a Methodist Church in Tampa for six years. Upon moving to North Carolina, Kim was led to a small Presbyterian church outside Winston-Salem. She served there as Christian Educator for Children & Youth for 4 years before moving to Columbus and beginning as Hilliard's part time Director of Christian Education. She is currently working towards becoming a Certified Christian Educator in the Presbyterian Church (USA). Kim's husband Tony is a biochemist, doing cancer research at OSU. She has three sons: Steven, Daniel and Michael.

What many people don't know about Kim is that she makes great apple pies.

Director of Music Beth Clothier Office Manager Beth Lewis

"I grew up in Plain City, Ohio attending the Presbyterian Church regularly with my family, singing in the choir from the age of four. As a freshman in high school I began teaching music at VBS and from that point on I was hooked. I graduated from Otterbein College as a voice major with a Bachelor of Music Education.

As my sons have grown into young men, they have sung and played in tone chime choirs, children’s choirs, as cantors, and now with the Chancel Choir at HPC when they are home from college.

What I enjoy most about music is making people happy. I am happiest seeing the look of accomplishment on choir member’s faces when they know they have just given their best. It is my goal to find creative ways to involve everyone in music. I do not believe there are people who cannot sing. I believe singing is a gift God gave us to show our happiness, to create happiness and as a way to give back praise to God and to God’s ears we are all beautiful singers when we sing with joy!"
