Music Ministry at HPC

Ours is a singing faith! ...and a singing congregation. We offer worship to God through music, instrumental and vocal. We teach and encourage each other, and proclaim God's word and our love for each other through the ministry of music.

The first goal of our music program is to honor and glorify God. It is our sincere hope that many of our members of all ages will be committed to participate in this ministry, by singing or playing instruments in one of the choirs, or by volunteering to help with the on-going program of music in our church. We have a variety of groups, which use the skills of musicians at all skill levels.

Chancel Choir

Wednesdays, 7:30 - 9:00 pm
The Chancel Choir welcomes 9th graders through, well, there is no upper age limit! The Chancel Choir is the foundation of our Music Ministry, providing leadership at the 11:30 am service weekly, and at both services on festival Sundays. In addition, the choir presents cantatas and other large works throughout the year.

Circle of Fifths
A special adult singing group that contributes in worship for special occasions. Contact Beth for more details.

Chime Choir
Sundays, 6:30 - 7:30
If you love music but prefer not to sing in public, ask about instrumental opportunities, including Chime Choir, instrumental ensemble. This unique group is open to ringers of all ages and abilities. The Chime Choir serves as part of the regular worship service once a month, participates in the Christmas Eve candle light service and during the Lent and Easter seasons. Reading music isn't required, just a commitment to rehearsals and performances.
